ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – BULK CONNECTIONS
Durban Coal Terminal Company (Pty) Limited trading as Bulk Connections, is a subsidiary of Bidvest. The company is a specialist bulk handling facility that imports and exports a wide variety of products through the Durban harbour.
Bulk Connections’ services include Shipping, whereby they operate from the Bluff berths, and offers loading and discharging services. They also provide Road & Rail services, with the largest private rail siding in the Durban harbour. Lastly, they offer Bulk Storage services, with a storage capacity of 600 000 tons, which includes covered storage for weather sensitive products.
ABOUT THE BULK CONNECTIONS BURSARY – FIELDS COVERED
Bulk Connections is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2025/ 2026 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded to students residing within KwaZulu-Natal, for National Diploma or Degree studies within the following fields:
- Engineering
- Environmental/Science / Environmental Management
- Finance
- Human Resources / Industrial Psychology
- Production Management / Operations Management
MORE ABOUT THE BULK CONNECTIONS BURSARY – EXPENSES COVERED & RENEWAL
The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: registration fees and tuition fees.
Bursaries are awarded for 1 academic year and are renewable on application and re-evaluation.
Candidates should note that funds are limited, therefore the Bursary Committee cannot guarantee that every application will be successful.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BULK CONNECTIONS BURSARY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must reside within KwaZulu-Natal province
- You must be studying within one of the fields of study listed above
- You must be studying full time, at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
